Window Films & Multi-Pane Upgrades
Where Heat Breaks Through.
Windows are the most underestimated weak point on a wildfire-zone home. Single-pane glass and aluminum frames fail under radiant heat from a nearby fire long before the flame front arrives — and once a window fails, the fire has direct interior access. The Wildfire Prepared Home Plus standard calls for dual-pane tempered glass on all exterior windows. For homeowners who aren't ready for a full upgrade, ASTM-tested window films provide a measurable interim hardening step.

Plus-level
Window upgrades are a Plus-level item under the WPH standard.
Single-pane
The most vulnerable assembly. Fails first under radiant heat.
Tempered
Required glazing for the WPH Plus designation (corner etching visible).
What We Do on Your Windows.
Inventory, identification, coordinated replacement, and interim film application where full replacement isn't practical.
- Inventory of every exterior window: glazing, frame material, visible tempering, condition
- Identification of windows that already meet the WPH Plus standard (dual-pane tempered or glass block)
- Coordinated quote with a vetted window contractor for full replacements where needed
- Application of ASTM-tested window films as an interim hardening step on vulnerable windows
- Photo-documented inventory and recommended upgrade plan
We coordinate window replacement through a vetted contractor. Window films we apply ourselves on a case-by-case basis when replacement isn't practical.
